Rich passed away on Oct. 21, 2009 in Tooele. He was born on Aug. 3, 1942 in Chicago, Ill., the son of Walter Gavril and Annabelle Roach. Railroading got in his blood early and remained through his service in the Army and until his eventual retirement from the railroad. He was a railroad man til the day he died. On Dec. 17, 1976 he married the love of his life Karess Krause. They had 32 years of happiness together. In his retirement years he enjoyed his family, friends and serving as a Knight of Columbus at Saint Marguerite’s Church.

He is survived by his wife Karess, his daughter Shayes White (Jimmy), granddaughter Elissa Moore (Greg), grandson Alec White, great grandson Dominix Moore, and Elissa’s father Chris Turley.

Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Oct. 29 at Saint Marguerite’s Church in Tooele, located on 15 S. 7th St., Tooele. The Rosary will begin at noon and Mass at 12:30 p.m. There will be a celebration of his life at 874 W. 620 S., Tooele from 2-4 p.m. Everyone is welcomed.
